TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing or using BeatLab ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These Terms form a binding contract between you and BeatLab.
2. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed. BeatLab may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. BEAT LICENSES & LICENSE TIERS
When you purchase a beat, you receive a license matching the tier you selected at checkout — Basic Lease, Premium Lease, Unlimited Lease, or Exclusive Rights. Each tier's exact rights (streams cap, formats included, distribution scope) are listed on the beat detail page and printed on the PDF license issued immediately after payment. Producers retain ownership of the underlying composition for all non-exclusive tiers. Resale or redistribution of the raw beat file is prohibited. An Exclusive Rights purchase removes the beat from the marketplace 24 hours after the sale.
4. PAYMENTS, SERVICE FEE & REFUNDS
All payments are processed through Square. Prices are listed in USD unless otherwise noted. BeatLab applies a 20% platform service fee on top of every beat sale. This fee is added at checkout as a transparent line-item and is paid by the buyer in addition to the producer's listed price. The producer's payout equals the listed price (after any active discount) and the 20% service fee is retained by BeatLab to operate the platform. Producers may set discounts (percent-off or amount-off, optionally with an end date) per beat, applied across all enabled license tiers. Due to the digital nature of beats and instantly-issued licenses, all sales are final and refunds are generally not issued, except in cases of platform error or fraudulent activity, determined at BeatLab's sole discretion.
5. SUBSCRIPTIONS
Channel subscriptions are $4.99 for a 30-day pass. Subscriptions grant access to subscriber-only perks (including but not limited to the SUB badge in chat). BeatLab retains a platform fee of $0.50 per subscription; the remainder ($4.49) is credited to the streamer's earnings. Subscriptions do not auto-renew at this time.
6. LIVE STREAMING CONTENT
Streamers are solely responsible for the content they broadcast. Prohibited content includes: nudity, explicit violence, harassment, hate speech, content infringing third-party copyrights, and illegal activities. BeatLab may remove streams and suspend streamer accounts at its sole discretion. By streaming, you grant BeatLab a worldwide, non-exclusive license to distribute your broadcast to viewers during the live session.
7. USER CONTENT & COPYRIGHT
You retain ownership of content you upload (beats, profile images, chat messages). By uploading, you grant BeatLab a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content solely for operating the Platform. You warrant that you own or have rights to all content you upload. Repeat copyright offenders will be terminated in accordance with our DMCA policy.
8. DMCA POLICY
If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, submit a DMCA takedown notice to legal@beat-lab.net including: (a) your contact info, (b) description of the copyrighted work, (c) URL of the infringing material, (d) a good-faith statement, (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate, (f) your signature.
9. PROHIBITED CONDUCT
You agree not to: (a) use the Platform for unlawful purposes; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems; (c) scrape, reverse engineer, or resell Platform data; (d) transmit viruses or malicious code; (e) impersonate another user; (f) circumvent fees, subscriptions, or technical limits.
10. TERMINATION
BeatLab may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, but sections regarding ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability survive.
11. DISCLAIMERS
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. BeatLab does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation.
12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BeatLab AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. BeatLab's total liability shall not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid BeatLab in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. CHANGES TO TERMS
BeatLab may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced on the Platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
